An adjustment restores motion to a joint that has gotten stuck and takes pressure off the nerves around it. We use a structural approach: before anything, we look at how the spine is sitting and moving as a whole, because a sore neck often starts lower down.

Adjustments are specific and gentle. Some are done by hand, some with an instrument, and nothing is forced. Most people feel looser after the first visit, and we check progress at set points so you always know where things stand.

Short acoustic pulses delivered through the skin restart healing in tendons and muscles that have been stuck in a slow, painful loop. No needles, no medication, sessions of 15 to 30 minutes, usually three to six of them.

Used for plantar fasciitis and heel pain, Achilles and elbow tendon pain, rotator cuff and shoulder tendon problems, and chronic knee, hip, and shoulder pain. Some plans cover it and some do not; there is a direct-pay rate if yours does not. Read the full page.

You lie on a motorized table that slowly stretches and relaxes the spine in cycles. That takes pressure off bulging or herniated discs and the nerves they press on, and helps fluid and nutrients move back into the disc.

Sessions take about 20 minutes and feel like a slow, deep stretch. It is often paired with adjustments and a few home exercises, and it is a good fit for sciatica, radiating arm or leg pain, and disc problems that have not settled with rest.

Peripheral neuropathy is nerve damage in the hands and feet, most often from diabetes. It shows up as numbness, pins and needles, burning, or trouble with balance, and it tends to get ignored because people assume nothing can be done.

We start with an exam to find out what kind of nerve involvement you have, then build a plan around improving circulation and nerve function, with gentle care in the office and things you can do at home. A lot of knee pain has more to do with how the hips, ankles, and the knee itself are moving than with anything that needs surgery. The exam looks at all of it.

Care may include adjustments to the knee and the joints around it, decompression for the knee, and a short set of exercises. The goal is stairs, walks, and getting out of a chair without thinking about it.

Neck and back pain after a crash often shows up a day or two later, once the adrenaline wears off. Getting checked early matters, both for healing and for the paperwork.

We examine the neck and spine, take X-rays if they are needed, and start gentle care right away. We are used to working with auto insurance claims and the documentation they need.

Dr. Emmerich is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and has additional training in caring for children and expecting mothers. Adjustments for kids are light, often just fingertip pressure.

During pregnancy, care focuses on the pelvis and low back as the body changes, which makes the later months a lot more comfortable. Parents are welcome in the room, and there is never any pressure to do more than you are comfortable with.

Some people finish a care plan and are done. Others find that a visit every few weeks keeps old problems from coming back, especially with physical jobs, sports, or a lot of desk time.

There is no set schedule. We figure out what makes sense for you and adjust it as life changes.
